This website is about everyday car care, and car care products from an ordinary persons point of view. (in other words - not for enthusiasts and fanatics).
This site came about one rainy day when my professional-car-valeting other-half was writing an article for his company’s website and he asked me if I knew how to wash a car. The simple answer is no!
He was amazed at how good I am at zoning out! He has been in the valeting business for almost 6 years and my father has been in the car care business for 20 years - yet I hadn’t even picked up the basics.
After he stopped crying, wailing and nashing teeth, we found out that I wasn’t the only one who had no idea that washing up liquid was not a good idea and brillo pads are only for pots and pans.
Having looked it up on the internet, there is a certain lack of easy to follow clear concise advice on how to wash your car, what to use, when to wash and what to avoid. Most of it tends to be written by fanatics, for fanatics.
So I thought that with the help of my dear hubby and common sense I would try my best to make an easy website with clear instructions and simple advice on car care and car care products.
This will be a learning experience for me as well as for you my dear readers, but together we will clean that car!
Since starting what was supposed to be a simple info site, the idea has grown — through my family I have a huge number of contacts in the car care industry worldwide, all of whom have been very supportive and pledged help in raising awareness of car care issues. My only problem is that there just aren’t enough hours in the day!
